Redjeb slept well last eve and is really getting back into life.
Today the nurse from the home care agency came as did the PT for assessment. They both expressed shock when they arrived. They had expected a real 91-year-old accident victim, but instead they got Redjeb: sitting up in a chair, managing to walk around (slowly and with his walker but still....) And he does look great, thinner, but still quite good.
So we have been setting up visits for home care, which I'm sure after a week or so we will be tired of all these people calling and coming to do their things. He'll choose which he likes but in the end it won't go on real long.
We also have decided that he will try to see the same doctor who did the neck surgery for his follow ups. May be hard to find a NYC doctor to follow someone else's surgery. So he will have his neck brace on for at least another 6 weeks. He says it doesn't bother him but does make it difficult to take a shower or wash his hair/head.
So that is it. One of these days soon I shall stop writing these blogs. For my faithful readers, I shall let you know when it is the last one. I don't know what you will then do with all that free time you will have (from not reading my opuses).
Great to read about all these changes. Your (written) voice sounds a whole lot more relaxed, too. I am sure it is a great relief for both of you now that Redjeb is home!
